This one is a long way off but I love showcasing promising technology. This is what I've wanted to see for a long time, a space sim that does a seamless transition from space to planetary exploration and back. Check out the videos

Game is called Infinity and this is a pre-alpha tech demo so long ways off of any release. But man impressive.

Hmm looks cool but is it going to be an exploration sandbox or an mmo with combat or what??

Okay not too bad. Looks like theyve got the terrain skinning nicely done. Id like to see some better graphics inside the cockpit and the atmospheric entry/reentry sequence needs some work - I really like the transition between planetary and space, and the stars are beautiful. But if it's just like a Flight Sim or whatever I dont think Ill get it - throw something in there similar to the EVE concept or make it sorta like SWBFII where u have planetary and space battles but in this case have it all happening at once so that space ships can bombard the surface, planetary defense systems can be implemented etc and Id be interested.

They are making an EVE like game. People still have to grasp the awesomeness of the ability to fly down to the planets surface without some stupid cut-scene. That is true freedom. Imagine being able to fly down to a planet and land anywhere and do shit then get back in your ship and then fly somewhere else on the planet or just go back up into space. That's what they are talking about. So a little sandbox, with a little MMO. Very cool.
