Hey all! I have a friend who is looking to buy an english style longbow. Its a 30# made of red oak. The person had it hand crafted but is now unable to shoot the thing due to an injury, so is selling it for $200. I am wondering if this is a good deal? I have seen other bows made out of different materials in the same price range..my pal is just wondering how good red oak is for a bow. Anyone know? Thanks!

Yeah I've been talking to some industry experts and lets just say no one is purchasing that bow. You can get a significantly better bow for half the cost. Woo.
